Acupuncture for post-stroke recovery

Most acupuncturists are familiar with using acupuncture points between the fingers (Ba Xie, or as I like to think of them, wolverine points) for ailments like rheumatoid arthritis. But for post-stroke recovery, the depth of the needle more than doubles so the tip of the needle practically reaches the wrist (metacarpal joint).

This clinical pearl I learned from a fantastic South African acupuncturist named Dr. Zhen 4-5 years ago. After 1-2 treatments a week, along with a highly motivated patient who does his PT exercises religiously, significant progress has already been made after 2 months.
